As far as bachelor pads go, men usually don’t need a lot. A big television, a bed to sleep in, and probably some gaming consoles in addition to the most basic furniture are more than enough to keep them happy in their homes. Take Kapuso actor Mikael Daez, for example, who just moved into his new pad. He knew exactly what he needed and shared a photo of his place on Instagram. Practically bare and unfurnished, Mikael proudly showed off a part of his home, and the actor looked very pleased with it. He wrote, “When you’ve just moved in and don’t have any stuff… And I decided to get a TV first instead of a bed.” True enough, Mikael had a huge flatscreen television set up on the floor of his room. However, he has no bed and used comforters for a makeshift sleeping place. Aside from that, his room only had a chair, a small shelf, and a small crate. In light of their daughter’s recent first birthday, actor Robin Padilla and television host Mariel Rodriguez have welcomed their baby girl Maria Isabella to the Muslim and Catholic world. Baby Isabella has a list of promising ninongs and ninangs, and one of them is none other than President Rodrigo Duterte himself!
Earlier this November, baby Isabella turned one year old. Almost two weeks after her birthday, she was already granted the sacrament of baptism in both Catholic and the aqiqah in Islam. Both ceremonies served as welcoming rites for Robin and Mariel’s daughter.
The Catholic baptism was held at the National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels in Malacañang Palace on November 23. The lively event was attended by Padilla’s immediate family, close friends, and several government officials as well.
Baby Isabella never ran short of ninongs and ninangs. As a matter of fact, many well-respected names in showbiz and politics were chosen as her godfathers and godmothers.
According to a list rounded up by Philippine Entertainment Portal, some of them were Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes, Magandang Buhay host Karla Estrada, director Joyce Bernal, Nadia Montenegro, and Piolo Pascual, to name a few.
Even the head of the state was honored to be baby Isabella’s godfather! President Rodrigo Duterte attended her aqiqah. During the ceremony, President Rodrigo Duterte even gave a speech while addressing Robin Padilla, who has been one of his most vocal supporters while he was campaigning for the presidency.
As per Rappler, the reception for baby Isabella’s aqiqah was held at the Malacañang Golf Clubhouse, spearheaded by imam Bedejim Abdullah. Furthermore, for the occasion, three full-grown cows were slaughtered and distributed to the evacuees in Marawi City.
