As far as bachelor pads go, men usually don’t need a lot. A big television, a bed to sleep in, and probably some gaming consoles in addition to the most basic furniture are more than enough to keep them happy in their homes. Take Kapuso actor Mikael Daez, for example, who just moved into his new pad. He knew exactly what he needed and shared a photo of his place on Instagram. Practically bare and unfurnished, Mikael proudly showed off a part of his home, and the actor looked very pleased with it. He wrote, “When you’ve just moved in and don’t have any stuff… And I decided to get a TV first instead of a bed.” True enough, Mikael had a huge flatscreen television set up on the floor of his room. However, he has no bed and used comforters for a makeshift sleeping place. Aside from that, his room only had a chair, a small shelf, and a small crate. Their first time to appear together for the show’s second anniversary, Luis was asked how he plans to ask the big question to Jessy.
“To be honest, I promise you a lot of things if we were going to take that plunge that we’re already talking about. And to some degree, we’re already planning.”
What was expected as a romantic gesture was Luis’ tongue-in-cheek humor.
“Ang pangako ko sa iyo [ay] magandang lahi. Iyon ang promise ko sa iyo. Doon pa lang, wala ka nang problema. Ako na ang bahala doon!”
On a more serious note, Luis shared that the right time for him to propose to Jessy is yet to come.
“I want to wait for the right time. I don’t want to preempt anything naman.”
The two have admitted to “seriously talking about marriage” in previous reports. Luis confirmed this in an interview with ABS-CBN.
“Sometimes you know if a conversation is taken so lightly. But when we talk about it, alam mo na may seriousness about it, there’s really the forethought na we take those words [seriously]. There are so much behind those words being spoken.”
It was in 2016 that Luis and Jessy became an item, with the former finally admitting that they are dating weeks after dispelling romance speculations.
“Lumalabas kami. Kasi kapag-deny ko ‘yon ay magagalit kayo sa aking lahat. Mukha naman akong tanga kapag dininay ko ‘yon.” “Hindi kami puwedeng mag-deny kasi mayroon kaming pictures online. Parang ang weird naman noon kung idi-deny ko ‘yon.”
He was referring to photos of him and Mendiola spotted at a mall by some fans, which quickly circulated online.
