Mikael Daez moves in to his new bachelor pad

As far as bachelor pads go, men usually don’t need a lot. A big television, a bed to sleep in, and probably some gaming consoles in addition to the most basic furniture are more than enough to keep them happy in their homes. Take Kapuso actor Mikael Daez, for example, who just moved into his new pad. He knew exactly what he needed and shared a photo of his place on Instagram. Practically bare and unfurnished, Mikael proudly showed off a part of his home, and the actor looked very pleased with it. He wrote, “When you’ve just moved in and don’t have any stuff… And I decided to get a TV first instead of a bed.” True enough, Mikael had a huge flatscreen television set up on the floor of his room. However, he has no bed and used comforters for a makeshift sleeping place. Aside from that, his room only had a chair, a small shelf, and a small crate. If only the actor did not admit that he had just moved in, then one would think that he’s following the Japanese minimalist sty...

Kris Aquino reminds everyone of her late father Ninoy’s sacrifice

Kris Aquino, the youngest daughter of late statesman Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr., paid tribute to her father in an Instagram post, saying that we owe our freedom to him because of his sacrifice.

According to the Abante Tonite report, the prolific host and actress took to social media to remind everyone that her father had the ‘balls’ to stand up to the Marcos dictatorship during Martial Law. Her post, dated November 27, was in celebration of Ninoy’s 85th birthday.

The sacrifice she was referring to was when Ninoy went home to the Philippines amidst death threats and warnings. He was shot dead on the tarmac of the Manila International Airport (now known as Ninoy Aquino International Airport) on August 21, 1983.

Because of his death, it sparked massive protests against the Marcos administration, culminating in the first EDSA People Power Revolution in February 1986 that toppled the dictatorship and martial law regime.

In her post, Kris also included a clip of her father’s televised interview during martial law in 1978 – the only one granted to the late senator.

Her post partly read:

“The truth is you do owe this man the fact that you have FREEDOM OF SPEECH, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION & FREEDOM OF THE PRESS TODAY – because he had the balls to actually DIE for his country – in super clear language, HINDI SIYA INURUNGAN NG B*YAG KAHIT ALAM NYA NUNG PABABA SYA NG EROPLANO NA BABARILIN NA SYA SA TARMAC ng AIRPORT.”

According to the ‘Queen of All Media’, she was forced to speak up because of the ‘fake news’ proliferating that intends to re-write the country’s history.

“Try as you may, #fakenews folks- you cannot rewrite history,” Kris wrote.

Although Kris didn’t name names in the post, her statement was reportedly directed at PCOO Assistant Secretary Margaux ‘Mocha’ Uson, a blogger and staunch supporter of former President Ferdinand Marcos.

Kris ended her tirade by hitting at her opponents’ wrong grammar, quipping: “Now u realize- nananahimik eh, ginulo nyo w/ your insulting wrong subject verb agreement post.”

Do you agree with Kris Aquino’s post, that we owe our freedom to her father? What can you say about this story? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Julie Anne San Jose flaunts body in new bikini photo

Singer-turned actress Julie Anne San Jose recently set the Internet on fire after her sizzling hot bikini photo was put up on her Instagram from a tropical getaway in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu in June. In the said pic, she was looking out to the sea in a simple yet sexy swimsuit. Netizens showered her with praise on her evidently fit body. Some are even suggesting for her to try posing for a men’s magazine. However, Julie Anne blew our minds away after flaunting her sexier and even more daring photos from a recent escapade with some friends at Dakak in Dapitan City just two days ago. In her first post, she posed for a daring pic flaunting her booty in a skimpy two-piece bikini just as the sunset gave out a perfect hue. “This is incredibly cleansing for the soul; A perfect place for adventure and bliss. Time for a good weekend!” The second photo was Julie Anne, in the same bikini, placed atop a jetski. “Bitin but sulit trip! Tried to squeeze in some last minute adven...

If you used to watch Willie Revillame‘s former noon time show “Wowowee“, you may have heard about one of its leading dancers, Luningning. Ken keeps it on friendly level

BARBIE AND KEN TOGETHER: He says a girl outside showbiz is ideal for him. She says she won’t do a kissing scene on screen until she gets to be 25. With these quotable quotes, nowhere can you find a common ground between Ken Chan and Barbie Forteza, lead stars of a youth-oriented rom-com, “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter.” But, don’t be misled. Ken and Barbie are the best of friends, having worked together in the recently concluded hit series, “Meant to Be.” Ken believes it’s better that he maintained close friendly ties with his screen partners to keep the chemistry alive. That way, they avoid tension commonly attached to romantic relationships. ROMCOM FROM JOEL: The hot young stars, both from GMA Network, are reunited for the first time on the big screen by way of “This Time,” where they go under the direction of Joel Lamangan. Joel is better known for socio-political films. This time, he does it rom-com style and comes out of the experience a refreshed director. Joel says...
