Mikael Daez moves in to his new bachelor pad

As far as bachelor pads go, men usually don’t need a lot. A big television, a bed to sleep in, and probably some gaming consoles in addition to the most basic furniture are more than enough to keep them happy in their homes. Take Kapuso actor Mikael Daez, for example, who just moved into his new pad. He knew exactly what he needed and shared a photo of his place on Instagram. Practically bare and unfurnished, Mikael proudly showed off a part of his home, and the actor looked very pleased with it. He wrote, “When you’ve just moved in and don’t have any stuff… And I decided to get a TV first instead of a bed.” True enough, Mikael had a huge flatscreen television set up on the floor of his room. However, he has no bed and used comforters for a makeshift sleeping place. Aside from that, his room only had a chair, a small shelf, and a small crate. If only the actor did not admit that he had just moved in, then one would think that he’s following the Japanese minimalist sty...

Paolo Ballesteros on Joey de Leon’s alleged insensitive post: “Masyado tayong mapag-connect.”

Veteran host and comedian Joey de Leon strikes again after posting an alleged “insensitive” statement on his official Instagram page. It will be recalled that he was subjected to a big controversy after a displeasing remark about depression. Now, the online world is abuzz after Joey published a photo of him having fun in the dead sea. However, his caption did not sit well with the netizens given that many people are still grieving on the tragic death of the Kapamilya Hashtags member Franco Hernandez.

“Nuknukan ka na ng katangahan pag sa DEAD SEA nalunod ka pa!”

Two weeks ago, Franco died due to drowning after he reportedly fell from the motorized boat he rode with his girlfriend and a fellow Hashtags member. His body was rescued, but he was already unconscious. He was then rushed to the nearest hospital, but the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

This was the reason why a number of people were angered by Joey de Leon’s post. A netizen even called him out on social media for lacking “common sense” and “open-mindedness.” An excerpt from the angry netizen’s post said:

“Hindi ka pa po ba nadala sa mga issues na kinasangkutan mo? I mean, madami ka nang ginagawang ganyan. You keep on posting sa social media na hindi mo man lang pinag iisipan or sadyang sinasadya mo lang talaga.”

“It’s Showtime” host and musician Teddy Corpuz’s latest tweet is believed to be pertaining to Joey’s “insensitive” statement. He said:

The Hashtags member Paulo Angeles, on the other hand, did not hold back from spewing his thoughts on his official Twitter account. He wrote:

Joey de Leon has since apologized for his comment about depression, but he hasn’t given an official statement in regard to this new controversy.

Meanwhile, the veteran comedian’s co-host Paolo Ballesteros recently spoke out about this matter. He also mentioned that Joey de Leon must have been unaware of the incident. In an interview with the press during the promotion of his new movie Trip Ubusan, Paolo said:

“Tayo kasing mga Pilipino, masyado tayong mapag-connect. Siguro kung ganon tayo mag-isip, lahat ng bagay nakikita, eh iwas-iwasan na nating mag-comment para wag na nating palakihin. In the first place, wala namang issue, ‘di ba?”
